The original wastewater treatment plant in Rožňava faced serious problems. Its capacity was insufficient, the technological equipment was worn out and a part of it was not functioning due to its exceeded life span. Therefore, its extensive renovation and upgrade was a must in order to increase the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant and optimise the technological processes of wastewater treatment.
In close cooperation with a renowned Israeli company AQWISE, a world leader in wastewater treatment, a comprehensive solution for wastewater treatment and its automation has been implemented. The system we have delivered supports open network communication protocols, thus allowing for the creation of a flexible control system with efficient data collection, analysis and archiving We then integrated this data into the existing SCADA system located at the wastewater treatment plant site. Through its visual schemes, settings and graphs, the SCADA system provides the operator with an easy overview, control and parametrisation of the technology directly from the treatment plant site.
By implementing the automation of technological processes, we have achieved a significant improvement in the efficiency of wastewater treatment. Aqwise’s ABC Biocarrier System has been specifically designed to ensure superior process efficiency and stability. Its unique open carrier geometry allows for a more efficient transfer of oxygen, substrates, and nutrients to the attached biomass. This solution guarantees a more robust and efficient biological process and, at the same time, does not require so much space the equipment is to take up.
The final treated water meets strict quality standards at the lowest possible operating costs.
